INTRODUCTION

Soccer Friends USA is very proud to offer our newest program, our travel team, Queensborough United Soccer Club, from Under 9 to Under 18 age groups, boys and girls.  Our travel teams are open to all families in Queens with children who are interested in playing competitive soccer in leagues and tournaments across the Tri-State area. The majority of these tournaments/competitions will take place on Long Island, in Connecticut or New Jersey.  The rest of the season will be filled with scrimmages against other local teams, mostly from Long Island and Manhattan. Our teams train two times per week, one weekday after-school practice and one weekend practice during the season.  All teams will train for 90 minutes at each session. Winter training sessions take place indoors. 

Cost per family, per child, will differ each season depending on the budget that is set for each team’s individual program.  The fees will cover the cost of hiring a professional, licensed youth coach to train your team, registration fees for tournaments, training facility rentals, uniforms, and referee fees.  Costs not included in this price are: transportation to games and practices for parents, or accompanying adults, cleats, shin guards.  We offer payment plans for families.  

If your child has an interest in joining our travel team, Queensborough United S.C., they must first compete in a try-out session (try-outs are held every May, but if there is space on any of our team rosters, then additional try-outs will be scheduled during the season). Competitive travel soccer requires a strong commitment level for children and their families in order to attend all scheduled practices and games.   By joining our travel team program you are agreeing to this commitment.  If your family is not ready for this level of commitment, we have other fun and exciting programs within our soccer school that are less time-consuming and may better fit your schedule.
