WINTER 2017 NEW YEAR OF SOCCER ENROLLMENT OPEN

Soccer Friends USA is proud to announce that our winter 2017 enrollment is now open and the new season begins the weekend of 1/2/17. As always, you can expect small group sizes (which means more individual attention for your child), the best coach-to-child ratio of any program, and the best indoor locations in Central Queens. We have the use of four excellent, warm and safe gyms in the Kew Gardens/Forest Hills/Rego Park area. These locations are perfect for your child to continue to play soccer while the outdoor fields and playgrounds are being blasted by polar vortexes and covered in snow drifts and ice.  

We also wanted to let you know that in January 2017, we will have our FUTSAL SOCCER GAMES hosted by Soccer Friends USA. Futsal is a fast-paced, 5-a-side soccer game that is widely played across the world and is officially recognized by both the US Soccer Federation and FIFA, the world governing body of soccer. Futsal is a sport that is a derivative of soccer and played with five-player teams on a basketball-style court, with no walls and a smaller, low-bouncing ball. While it can be a sport in its own right, Futsal does not compete with mainstream soccer, but serves to support it. Futsal is considered a valuable tool in the development of young players to assist them in becoming more technically proficient in situations of high pressure. Great soccer superstars such as Pele, Zico, Ronaldo and Neymar grew up playing the game and credit futsal with developing their skills. This program is open for 5 year olds and up at all skill levels. Our first location is our very own Soccer Friends USA gym ideally located in the heart of Forest Hills at 108-14 72nd Avenue, Forest Hills, NY 11375.

• Session: 10 Weeks

• Price: $260

• Dates: 1/2/17-3/6/17

We offer weekday and weekend morning /afternoon classes. This gym is well suited for our younger age groups. The second location is J.H.S. 190 Russell Sage at 68th Avenue between Booth & Austin Street, Queens, NY, 11375.

• Session: 10 weeks

• Price: $270

• Dates: 1/8/17-3/12/17

This is a very large gym and excellent for all ages. This is one of the locations that will be used for Indoor Futsal league. The third location is the Forest Hills Jewish Center, 106-06 Queens Boulevard Forest Hills, NY 11375-4248.

• Session: Varies between 8 weeks-10 weeks

• Price: $216-$270

• Dates: 1/2/17-Varies

We offer classes here Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. The fourth location is the Kew Forest School, 119-17 Union Tpke, Forest Hills, NY 11375-6143.

This location recently underwent a very expansive re-construction of the entire building, including a brand new full-size gymnasium. Remember, our classes are for children aged 18 months through 16 years. Soccer Holiday Season 2016

Hi Soccer Friends USA Families,

We are writing to inform you of our Holiday Season of Soccer, which is now open for enrollment and will begin in early November. It is for all age-groups from 18 months to 16 years old. We are offering classes at four of the best and most convenient indoor locations in the Forest Hills/Kew Gardens/Rego Park area. There will be morning and afternoon classes available everyday of the week. All classes will take place indoors at our safely monitored, warm gym facilities. The holiday season of soccer bridges the gap between the fall season ending and the main winter season beginning in January of 2017.

We also wanted to let you know that coming in January 2017, we are running for the third year in a row our extremely popular program titled ‘FUTSAL SOCCER GAMES' hosted by us. Holiday Season Soccer Locations:

The first location is JHS 190 Russell Sage School Gym located at 68-17 Austin Street, Forest Hills, NY 11375.

• Start Date: 11/6/16-12/11/16 (No class on 11/27/16)

• Price: $135

Many of our soccer friends are already enjoying classes at the outdoor play area here. This winter we will be moving inside to the large indoor sports gym located on the border of Forest Hills and Rego Park. All of our Sunday morning Soccer classes will take place at this location.

The second location available is The Forest Hills Jewish Center located at 106-06 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375.  

• Start Date: 11/21/16.

• Price: Varies depending on the day you choose to enroll as some of the days have more sessions due to Holidays.  

We will offer after-school classes here on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons. Classes start at 4:00pm. We will also have classes here on Sunday afternoons, starting at 2:00pm. As usual, we will use the large 3rd floor sports Gym, with Elevator access. This is great location as it is heart of Forest Hills. Our office is also located in the gym - please feel free to stop by for more information about the other programs we offer.  

The third location that we offer is the Soccer Friends USA Gym located at 108-14 72nd Avenue, Forest Hills, NY, 11375.  

• Start Date: 11/21/16 (this class is 4 weeks)

• Price: $100   

Soccer Friends classes will be held here every morning Monday to Saturday. This location is perfect for our younger Soccer Friends and we hold classes here for 18 month olds up to 4 year olds. This location is situated in the heart of Forest Hills, on the street that is affectionately known to the locals as Kids Corner a reference to all the Child Program Centers on this street.   

The Fourth Location is The Kew Forest School located at 119-17 Union Tpke, Forest Hills, NY 11375-6143.

• Price: $108

• Start Date: 11/19/16-12/18/16 (No class on 11/26 & 11/27 - this class is 5 weeks)

MAKE-UP POLICY:

As this season is a short one - only 4 to 5 weeks depending on the location - each family will have one make-up session for this season. Normally we offer 2 make-ups for our regular sessions (which are 10 weeks).

Soccer Friends USA is proud to announce our fall 2016 classes, which will begin the week of 9/5/16.   We offer families who live in Queens a full Service Soccer School. Our programs are listed below and we believe we have quality programs and a quality staff that fits every family’s needs. 

• Summer Day Camps and Flexible Summer Class Passes. 
• Soccer Birthday Parties (Indoor and Outdoor classes offered.)
• Futsal Soccer League (1 recreational Indoor soccer league which runs in the winter months, Ages 5 & up.)
• Year round co-ed soccer classes for children aged 18 moths to 16 years old.

We are offering some exciting new programs this fall, as well as providing your child with the best coaching staff & locations, to learn and play the beautiful game of soccer here in central Queens.  The Soccer Friends USA Gym will expand its offering of Spanish & Soccer language classes that we trialled this past spring, and received wonderful feedback from families.  Your child will exercise their body and their brain in these fun, dynamic and educational classes.   The sessions will be offered on Friday’s at our gym location and are for the following age groups; 2-2 ½; 2 ½-3 ½ ; 3 ½-young 4’s and 4 ½ -6 years old. 

We are also expanding our all girls soccer classes after their popularity grew in our spring and summer seasons.  These classes will be for ages 4½-6 years of age and 7-10 years old,  building off the excitement generated by the success of the USA Woman’s World Cup Champions.   We are offering the chance for young girls to learn, play, and have fun with Soccer Friends USA.  Who knows we could discover the next Carli Llyod, Alice Morgan, or Abby Wambach. These classes will be offered on Friday’s and Sunday's at our various locations.  Please note we are still offering our CO-ED classes, so please make sure you request the correct group you want to sign up for.  Please contact us for more details or go to www.soccerfriendsusa.com and click on the ‘PICK YOUR CLASS’ located on the top of our homepage.

All age groups are offered except 18-24 months. This is one of our most popular weekend locations.  It offers you and your child a very safe playing environment; it’s centrally located, easy to get to by car, or public transport. We have the option of playing inside and outside depending on the weather conditions, and if you decide to drive, it offers free car parking. The Forest Hills Youth Athletic Association Fields are a gem that our Queens community is lucky to have access to.  This is a privately run facility that is beautifully maintained, safe, clean and secure for your child to attend.  It has 5 all natural grass soccer fields. We run weekday morning, and after school classes at this location for nearly every age group.   The fields are all beautifully maintained, natural grass; classes at this location will run Monday-Friday from 9:30am-4:20pm. Dear Soccer Friends, 

We wanted to inform you of an exciting development regarding Soccerfriendsusa.com.  Our website is 5 years old and we thought it was time for a make-over.  Our brand new site is up and running, so we hope you’ll check it out!  Currently we are still on the MindBody registration system, but soon we will be migrating to a new, more user-friendly system. 

What are we doing? 

Soccer Friends USA is going through our biggest digital overhaul ever. The first stage (which is now complete) is to replace our old website with brand new one. The second stage will be to upgrade our registration system. Currently we use the MindBody system for you to book your child’s classes. This will continue until February. At that time, we will send you another e-mail regarding our new registration system and MindBody will be taken off line.
